Some parts of western Massachusetts saw snow on Tuesday

Weather News

Some western Massachusetts residents woke up to more snow Tuesday.

A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect for Berkshire and parts of Franklin Counties. Some residents welcomed the snow, but others weren’t so happy to see it.

“I really don’t like the snow or being cold, but that’s alright the kids do have a lot of fun in it,” said Stephanie Stokes of Sunderland.

Central Franklin County cities and towns like Greenfield and Deerfield saw mostly rain Tuesday. But western Franklin County towns like Buckland and Conway did see some snow.

Conway didn’t get a lot of snow Tuesday, but the snow that landed was perfect for making snowmen and snowballs. Franklin County residents told 22News they’re used to seeing snow in November.

“It’s not a surprise,” said Carol Kurkolonis of Conway. “We’ve had snow on Halloween before, so we embrace it.”

We should expect to have a pretty chilly Thanksgiving.
