Spring has sprung and that means more people will be working on their lawns.
If you want to get your lawn looking nice take advantage of the warm and mild days now that they are here. Now that the warmer and brighter days have arrived, lawn care is on some people’s minds.
Tuesday, workers at Stanley Park in Westfield were found taking care of the fields and taking advantage of the beautiful weather.
G&H Landscaping told 22News that they are about a week behind schedule due to the snow and the cooler weather last week.
But now that the weather is becoming more consistent, more can get done outside.
“An application of a fertilizer with a pre-emergent crabgrass control anytime between now and the third week of May depending on how the season rolls here on out,” said Gary Courchesne of G&H Landscaping.
You can do light raking and any other yard clean up as well.
Now is also a good time to tune up your lawn mower, since it’s likely been sitting in your garage since last season.
You want to hold off on planting any annuals until the third week of May.
