CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert for heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening.

Clouds will be on the increase Thursday morning and there’s a chance for some light rain by noon. Rain will become heavier and steadier later in the afternoon and early evening. Watch out for street flooding this afternoon and evening. There is also the chance of a thunderstorm. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Showers and storms will come to an end later Thursday evening and skies will be partly cloudy. Lows will be down around 60 degrees.

Friday is looking like a nice day with lots of sunshine and temperatures around 80 degrees.
