Weather Alert: Morning wintry mix and snow, drying this afternoon

The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert through Friday morning as snow and a wintry mix could cause difficult travel conditions. 

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY: Western Hampden, western Hampshire & western Franklin Counties until 4pm.

WINTER STORM WARNING: Berkshire County until 1PM Friday.

Here’s what we expect for storm timing:

  • Now through 7AM: Light wintry mix.
  • 7AM-11AM: Burst of snow from west to east. Additional accumulation possible.

Impacts: 

  • Friday morning commute: Wintry weather and some additional snow could make for some snow covered roads and slippery conditions.
  • Friday Evening Commute: Dry
