CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert for strong to severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening.
Skies will be mostly clear Friday night and it will be a comfortable night with lows in the 50s.
We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds to start off the day with a light breeze from the south. Humidity will increase going into the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the low to mid-80s. There’s the chance for a few scattered showers before 4 p.m., but the “prime time” for thunderstorms will be 5 p.m. through 11 p.m. The primary severe weather threat on Saturday is damaging wind, but lightning, hail, and flooding are also possible.
The potential for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms continues overnight with partial clearing after midnight. Lows in the 60s.
There will be a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday, with the chance for a few scattered showers & high temperatures in the low to mid-80s.
