CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News Storm Team has ended a Weather Alert following snow Friday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. on Friday for Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties and until 7 p.m. for Berkshire County.

The steady snow will arrive between 7 – 9 a.m. Occasional light snow and snow showers will continue through the day on Friday. High temperatures will be in the mid 30s. Total accumulations will range from a coating in the Springfield area to 6 inches in parts of Franklin & Berkshire County.

Skies will be mostly cloudy Friday night with the chance for a few flurries this evening. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.

On Saturday we’ll start with clouds but skies will become partly sunny during the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30s.
