It sure felt like winter out there Wednesday with wind chills in the teens and 20s and now there is even some snow on the way.
Many areas saw a dusting of snow Wednesday morning, not really enough to send out the trucks to sand or plow, but that could be a different story Thursday evening into Friday morning. In West Springfield they’re preparing for the winter weather.
“They get their plows on, they make sure everything is greased up, the salt is ready to go into the salters, the spreaders are on the trucks, they’re running. There is gas in everything,” said West Springfield Mayor Reichelt.
Mayor Reichelt said DPW crews have been busy clearing leaves from the storm drains.
