Western Massachusetts dealt with some wet weather Thursday as a Flash Flood Watch was in effect.
Periods of downpours made for some slippery roads and it rained for much of the day.
From 80 degrees Wednesday to a dreary Thursday, with everything from drizzles of rain to downpours.
“It was really heavy cause I was all the way down in Boston, and I came and it was horrible,” said Ahmed Aljanabi of West Springfield. “Nobody was doing the speed on the highway cause nobody could. It was crazy.”
You can see some flooding in photos sent to 22News from West Springfield, and a video shot in Agawam Thursday night.
The heavy rain knocked the leaves off of trees, and at times made it hard to see through the windshield.
“Couple hundred yards, but we’re used to it we knew it was coming,” said David Marcy of West Springfield. “When I was leaving, sunny and warm, but coming back North, heavy rain. It’s New England. Wait five minutes, it’ll snow.”
Friday will hopefully be a little drier.
