Winter weather has positive impact on Buckland business

Weather News

While Springfield got nothing but rain on Tuesday, areas of Franklin County got more than 10 inches of snow and for one Buckland business, this winter weather has been good for business.

Parts of western Massachusetts turned into a winter wonderland Monday night into Tuesday morning.

So much so, it’s been bringing business to Frank LaBelle’s Sales & Service in Buckland, since the first accumulating snow of the season, which fell before Thanksgiving.

“All of a sudden it turned to winter all at once, so we’re caught between two service areas trying to get lawn equipment out and snow blowers out,” said Frank LaBelle, owner of Frank LaBelle’s Sales and Service. “And selling snow blowers, so it’s been really busy.”

Parts of western Franklin County saw between six to 10 inches of snow on Tuesday.

“Our business requires pennies from Heaven either in the form of rain or snow, so it’s been a good season for us,” added LaBelle.

And because we had a wet and warmer fall this season grass was growing much more, calling on LaBelle’s for service.
